Warp weighted looms were first used for weaving as long ago as the Bronze Age but continued to be used throughout the Iron Age to the Medieval period. They are are particularly popular with Viking and Anglo-Saxon re-enactors but are equally suitable for home craft use. Our Warp Weighted Loom is hand made using authentic peg/pin joints to make it easy to transport to events. The looms are supplied with 20 ceramic loom weights based on finds from Coppergate, York along with 3 weaving shuttles, 250 linen heddle strings, 2 warp spacing rods and  sword beater. Supplied flat for home assembly with handy canvas carrying bag.
