These replica Viking Gaming Pieces are based on real artefacts found at Viking sites such as Torksey and other UK sites. They are ideal as teaching aids or as part of reenactment displays. Each piece is of hollow construction and are often associated with The Winter Camps of the Viking Great Army. Each piece measures approx 20mm in diameter.

Based on Viking weights found in the Kiloran Bay Boat Burial, Colonsay. These weights had a reused Celtic Zoomorphic design inlaid into lead. They were found in group of weights and a set of scales within the boat burial of a man who is thought to have been a Viking trader. The replicas are made from lead free pewter with bronze plated inlay. They are ideal for Viking re-enactment or educational purposes.

Viking Dublin Ore Weights

A set of 4 replica Viking Weights based on the Viking Dublin weight system of Ore (or Viking Ounce) and based on artefacts found in the UK.

These weights would have been used by Viking Traders on their balance scales, the finds are often associated with Viking Camps. Being made from lead free pewter, they are ideal for re-enactment and for use as a teaching aid.

Viking Waterford/Woodstown Weight

A set of 4 replica Viking Weights based on the Viking Dublin weight system of Ore (or Viking Ounce) and based on artefacts found in the UK.

These weights would have been used by Viking Traders on their balance scales, the finds are often associated with Viking Camps. Being made from lead free pewter, they are ideal for re-enactment and for use as a teaching aid.

Roman Folding Knife

Based of finds from across the UK this type of pocketknife may have been used for shaving. The pocketknife handle shows a hunting scene, with a running hound chasing a hare. The type of pocketknife can be found throughout the Roman period AD43 to AD410. This replica is based on a find from Cambridgeshire and is unusual in having additional ring and dot pattern.

The handle is cast from lead free pewter and the blade is made from carbon steel, this rotates on a brass pivot.

Viking Bag Hedeby Style Purse

A beautiful hand crafted Viking shoulder bag/purse based on a find from Hedeby. The Bag automatically closes under pressure from strap.

The handle frame is made from solid lime hardwood, which is hand carved. Lightly stained and waxed to give authentic feel and look.

Lined with linen fabric, with plaited Leather Strap and authentic pure wool fabric in herringbone twill weave.
